Once in a forest lived a ferocious tiger called Pak Belang. Thus every day Pak Belang will hunt animals for food. All animals in the forest are very afraid of Pak Belang.
One day, as usual Pak Belang wandering around the forest looking for food. After a while down in the area, Pak Belang saw a fox. Pak Belang does not intend to catch the fox because of its’ smell. Even get close to the fox made him queasiness. Aware that Pak Belang will not catch him, the fox think about how to trick the tiger.
Suddenly a fox said. "You will not be able to eat meat again, Pak Belang! Pak Belang was curios of the statement. “Why was that? Where are the animals in this jungle?” Ask Pak Belang.
"All animals in this forest have been eaten by another tiger!” The tiger is much larger and stronger than you." Pak Belang can’t stand any longer. He must face the thief that dares to steal his food. “I’m afraid that tiger live in the river!" Added the fox.
Pak Belang is surprised with the fox words. During this time he did not know that tigers can also live in the water. The fox words about the water tiger made Pak Belang angrier.
Pak Belang asks the fox to take him to the water tiger’s place immediately. But the fox has its own ideas. He suggests that they will only go to the water tiger’s place on the next day because it’s getting darker and the journey is also a bit far. Actually the fox needs some times to set a trap for the wicked tiger.
After the tiger agreed with his suggestion, the fox soon find the mousedeer, the deer and the antelope. They are his close friends in the forest. The fox told them about his conversation with Pak Belang earlier.
Once satisfied, they agreed to put some thorny plants in the adjacent river. Throughout the night they gather some thorny plants for Pak Belang’s trap. They also ask a school of otters to help them to put the thorny plants in the water.
The next day, as promised, a fox brings Pak Belang to the water tiger’s place. The fox deliberately bring Pak Belang through the remote so that the tiger get exhausted especially after a whole day without any food.
When arrived at the place, an otter is waiting for them and introduce himself as the commander of the water tiger. Pak Belang told the otter that he wants to see the master. The otter immediately dived for some times and appeared again not long after that. Pak Belang, then been asked to go to the edge of the river because the master is waiting for him there.
Pak Belang rushed to the edge of the river when he saw another fierce looking face. River water clarity made the water tiger appeared fiercer. Pak Belang roared with high pitching voice but the water tiger appeared only with his grin and sharp teeth.
Pak Belang became increasingly furious to the water tiger response and jumped into the water to challenge his enemy. He wanted to see the severity of the water tiger. Pak Belang surprised as the whole body is exposed to the spine. He thought that he was scratch by his opponent. However, the stronger Pak Belang moves, the more his body hurt.
Eventually, Pak Belang’s body became weaker and weaker. Pak Belang treachery very severe and he was drowning in the river. Now all the animals live safely and peacefully without the threat of Pak Belang any longer.
